A Trip to Driggs

My parents came to visit this weekend, along with a little shopping and relaxing we took a trip to Driggs. Eric wanted to show my parents some of the houses he has done the trusses on. While the trusses were awesome the autumn scenery was breath taking. We had a great time and really enjoyed the square ice cream on the way.

A Construction View

Eric parents live up on a hill which offers many beautiful views, here is what we were looking out while we worked on the construction project.

Conference and Construction

Along with enjoying the snow on conference weekend we also helped Eric's parents with a little construction project. They are building a small garage for their tear drop camper trailer so we headed down to help. While I was more of an assistant I did pound a few nails, but Eric really jumped in, he even got up on the roof. We had fun helping with this family project!!!

Fall Left Winter is Here

You got to love Eastern Idaho. This is what we woke up to Saturday morning, the first snow is always fun. The snow is really wet and heavy so it has been cause lots of trees to falls and accidents on the road. So we are just staying home and looking out the window.

Louis's Birthday Purchase

Louis now has another form of transportation. While most would think this is a recreational vehicle Louis has made this is main mode of transportation around Hagerman. He loves riding it and I heard looks pretty good on it! Stayed tuned for a picture of him actually riding it.

FMX Wow Factor

This last weekend we went to the Moutain Dew Tour in Salt Lake City. Eric thought it would be fun so we took my brother Louis for his birthday. Our tickets allowed us to stand right in front of the course which gave us a great view. It is amazing what people can do on a motocycle. I am glad Eric just rides his, I was just waiting for one of these guys to bite it.

From Trusses to a Home

This last weekend Eric took his family and me up to Driggs to see the homes he is working on now he is a truss salesman. We also stopped by a home he worked on this winter that is almost finished. It is hard to see in this picture but it is beautiful. While he is working lots of extra hours he is really enjoying his new position and I am proud of him.

A Perfect Fall Day!!!

Last week Emily and I decided to take the kids to the Idaho Falls Zoo. It was the perfect day weather wise, and we had almost the whole zoo to ourselves. While the kids had a hard time deciding what their favorite animal was it seemed the sea otters and the monkeys got the most excitement out of them. Chase helped us navigate around the zoo with his map, while Carson and Summer enjoyed feeding the ducks and the goats. While Sierra looks sleepy she woke up and enjoyed her ride around the zoo.

America's Favorite Past Time

There's no other way to spend Labor Day weekend than with your family at a baseball game. Shortly after my cousin Angie left town her brother, my cousin John and his family came to Salt Lake. We were excited to see them and meet their little guy Tyler. For something fun to do together my dad took us all to the Bee's game. It was fun, Eric and I had never been to a baseball game like that and it was Tyler's first time too. We all had a great time and enjoyed the fireworks show at the end of the game. Thanks dad!!

A Day at Hogle Zoo

It has been awhile since I updated our blog, but it doesn't mean we haven't been having fun. On the 21st of August I headed down to Utah to see my Cousin Angie, (her mom) my Aunt Linda, and my cousin Zack who I have never met. Well has you can see we went to Hogle Zoo, it was so fun, Zack was very excited about all the elephants, plus the kid in me enjoyed it too. I stayed the night and we went shopping the next day, we had a great time!!! I wish they lived closer.

Working for the Weekend- Before and After

This weekend Eric and I helped my parents spruce up the outside of their new house. While we had a great time, it was alot of work and very hot outside. But we are glad it looks nice. Plus we actually got a little sun on our milky white skin.

Our Niece the Cutie Pie!!

This is our niece Elizabeth, she is so cute. She is such a happy baby. We wish we could see her more, but unfortunately she lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Her mom has created a blog like we did so we can see her almost everyday. We love it. While we didn't take this picture ourselves we just had to show her off.

Sunday Drive

Some times its nice to get away. We have had a pretty stressful couple a weeks in our house, so we decided to head for the mountains on Sunday afternoon to enjoy a little bit of nature. These pictures are of the Snake River just past Palisades. I just couldn't resist putting my feet in the cool and refreshing water. It was a nice, relaxing day.

A Special View

We went on a drive the other night and ended up by the windmills above Idaho Falls. Eric took this picture and I love it. We can see the windmills from our house but when you get up really close they are big and majestic. Hope you like the view.

Monkeys In Our Bed

We love to have company, especially the small kind. When Emily's kids come to visit us they love to snuggle in our bed and watch cartoons. I think its so cute.

Beating the Heat

Here are Emily's boys Carson and Chase, showing their muscles off along with their new swimming pool. Since it has been such a hot summer, with no air conditioning at our house I often head up to Emily's and spend time in the shade watching the kids enjoy the cool water. Last time I went I didn't just observe, I was attacked by water ballons and actually went home cool and wet.

Summer Time!!

This is Summer my friend Emily's little girl. While she is not related to us we feel like we are her aunt and uncle. She has really grown to love Eric and calls him her best friend. While we were helping her family move she rode with me and had to wear Eric's sunglasses because they are so cool. What a cutie!!

And They're Off!!!

Here is some pictures from the endurance race Eric and his friends rode in this spring. This was the first time I saw Eric really ride I was pretty nervous but after I saw him go over his first jump, I was nothing but proud. At one point he flew through the air over this big jump and I was in total awe. It was a fun day, but after the race Eric could hardly move. Hopefully he will do it again.

Eric the Great Designer

Here is a house in Driggs that Eric designed the trusses for. He is really getting good at his job and enjoying it. We thought it would be a good idea to put his talent use and start our on home business. We named it Big E Home Design, Eric is still training on the program but once he is finished he will be able to design full house plans.

Our Second Anniversary!!

For our second anniversary we headed back to Jackson Hole. We had such a great time last year we thought we would go back. This year there was hardly any snow but we were still able to grab some nice pics of the tetons as well as a wandering moose. We only spent one night, but we still had time to have a great dinner and enjoy this beautiful scenery. I hope they will still call us Newlyweds.

We Have A Niece!!!!

We have a niece, we are so excited. Her name is Elizabeth and she is so cute and precious. She was born on January 31st, while it took her a while to get here, she was actually a couple weeks early. We alreday miss her becuase she lives in Phoenix so it will be awhile before we get to hold and cuddle with her. We are so excited to watch her grow. Hopefully we will get to meet her soon.

Christmas Time at Temple Square

While living in Utah we decided to visit our favorite place in Salt Lake City. Temple Square is a special place for us since we got engaged and married there. Plus it is a magically place at Christmas time. We love the lights and the spirit that is there.

Enjoying Autumn in Utah

Well we did it we moved to Utah! While we are settling into our new home, these beautiful sights are sure helping us appreciate our new state. These pictures were taken near Squaw Peak and at Bridal Veil Falls by Provo two of our new favorite places.

Next Stop Zion's National Park

Zion's National Park is beautiful!! While this was my first trip to Zion's, Eric had been before. We only had the morning to explore the park so we went on a small hike then had to spend most of the other time on a tour bus, but we still had a great time. It was actually nice and cool. We enjoyed taking lots of pictures and posing for a few as well. Thanks mom and dad for a nice vacation.
